SIDEWALL CASING TECHNOLOGY (SCT) is Kenda’s optimization of sidewalls through the addition of a second layer of fabric that allows for better air and sealant retention when a tire is run tubeless. The SCT ply also serves to add an extra layer of protection to the tire against cuts and abrasions on the sidewall.

DUAL TREAD COMPOUND (DTC) Kenda’s dual rubber compound. It uses a harder, fast-rolling rubber (60sA) in the center of the tread, and a softer rubber compound (50sA) on the sides for cornering traction. This dual compound allows for an optimal compromise between speed and off-road grip. This compound is typically found on cross-country, all-mountain, and cyclocross tires.
