The Giro Tyrant™ Spherical helmet marks the beginning of the modern era of mountain biking. While the design is understated, the Tyrant features countless technological advances beneath its outer shell, including Wind Tunnel™ ventilation and MIPS Spherical technology. This technology uses two layers of foam to redirect impact energy in a crash. One layer of EPS is perfect for high-speed impacts, while the other is a lower-density EPP foam with rebound characteristics to deal with low-speed tumbles. The deep cut of this full-coverage design further enhances the helmet's protective capabilities, while also setting a trend for those who prioritize style over speed.
